As Spartanburg County’s local arts agency and cultural hub, Chapman provides funding, support, and shared resources for many of the arts and cultural organizations that serve our community.
Our education programs reach thousands of public and private school students across Spartanburg County each year through learning experiences led by professional artists in music, dance, visual arts, literature, media, theatre, and more.
We believe everyone in our community should have opportunities to create and experience high-quality arts and culture.

Past Programming
Chapman supports the arts, science, humanities, and creative sector through advocacy, partnership, resource-sharing, and community connection. Through public programs, cultural planning, and collaborations across the county, Chapman has strengthened Spartanburg’s quality of life and connected people to arts and cultural experiences.

Through campus resources, shared services, collaboration, and General Operating Support Grants, Chapman supports its partner organizations as they serve artists, students, residents, and visitors across our community.
