Travel back to the Age of Enlightenment with Spartanburg Philharmonic! This one-hour Espresso concert features radiant 18th-century chamber music and folk tunes, with works by Handel, Haydn, Anna Amalia, and Saint-Georges.
About the performance:
Spartanburg Philharmonic opens its 2026–27 Espresso Series with Music from the Age of Enlightenment, an intimate journey through the sounds of the 18th century. The program pairs elegant chamber music with English and Scottish folk influences, featuring selections from Handel’s Water Music alongside works by Haydn, Anna Amalia, and Chevalier de Saint-Georges. Designed as a one-hour concert experience, the evening also includes a pre-show reception from 5:30 –6:30 PM, giving guests an opportunity to gather before the performance begins.
